Explanation of the costs

We have tried to find a solidarity principle for the costs.

Equal prices for all seem fair – but they are not if not everyone has the same amount or does not give the same amount of (care) work.

We have opted for the following solution:

Sliding scale 220-280€ + bidding round: 100-200€ (the money goes back to everyone)

With the base amount, you contribute just enough to cover the projected costs. A participation fee exceeding the minimum amount allows us to cover unforeseen costs and solidarity tickets. If there is a surplus, this will be returned to the bidding round (see below).

If you can’t pay that much, get in touch with us and we’ll find a solution. If you are able to, we ask you to orientate yourself to the upper end of the sliding scale.

What is a bidding round?

A bidding round is a collaborative process in which costs are distributed in a self-determined manner based on solidarity.

The money flows back to everyone. So why all this? Community care is work and we want to compensate unequally distributed work financially.

In the bidding round, we will compile which work at the festival could still be paid for. What would be fair pay?

Each person takes an honest look: What can I really contribute?

Some pay significantly more than the average, others significantly less – so we bear the costs together, which are made transparent beforehand. If there are any amounts left over from the fixed costs, these will automatically be included in the bidding round.

This is how we want to bring together the remuneration for workshops, services, set-up and dismantling as well as unexpected costs.

You decide on site how much you want to contribute to the bidding round.

The idea for the bidding round was inspired by the Juicy Lab.
